Little boy
It amuses me when children ask me to take photos of them. This one was taken in Baguio during the Panagbenga festival. I was taking pictures of this ihawan place and the goodies that they were making ihaw. I was just at the side walk when this little boy called my attention and asked me to take a picture of him. It was so amusing since he readily posed for the camera and this is what I shot.

If you notice, he was just peeking at a hole of a jeep that he was riding on. It provided such a nice frame for this cute boy’s smile, don’t you think?
People of Quiapo (part 2)

These are the children of Quiapo. They mostly beg for coins from church goers. I wonder how these children live and what goes through their minds…

I dunno if this lady is still praying her novena or taking a siesta.

Quiapo is know for these herbal medicines. I wonder if they really work. I was supposed to take more pictures but one of the manang’s yelled at me: “Ba’t mo kami kinukuhanan? Mamaya dyan binebenta mo na kami!” I got scared and didn’t want to get into a fight so I just fled!

Fortune tellers are also found near the Church.I have yet to challenge myself and try this out (just for fun)
People of Quiapo
I’ve been experimenting with my camera for quite some time. It’s still more of a point and shoot technique, hopefully soon I can apply my new photography learnings. For now, I’ll just be sharing with you some pictures I took last April. It was really quite a challenge taking pictures in Quiapo. Primary fear is getting my bag snatched…worse, getting my precious camera snatched!
Meet the People of Quiapo

You’d see the typical Juan praying fervently.I wonder what other people pray about…

This is actually a blind man. It’s good that he still has a strong faith in God despite being handicapped
Innocence
Here are some photos of street children I took during the Binondo Tour that I previously joined. It was a simple pleasure for them to get their pictures taken. Although everytime I look at those children’s eyes, there’s some hauntingly strange feeling that creeps in. It’s as if their stares pierce through you.

Siesta

I remember, as a child, how we were always told to take siesta in the afternoon so that we can grow taller. Unfortunately for this kid, he has no place to stay and just takes advantage of the park outside Binondo Church.
No commentsLola in prayer

I wonder where the children and grandchildren of this lola are. Elderlies like her shouldn’t really be working anymore. It may be because of poverty or probably the lola still insists on selling candles outside Binondo Church for the lack of other things to do. I really don’t know. All my grandparents are in heaven already so I really envy those who still have theirs alive. I hope they take advantage of their company while they’re still in their midsts.

I just love taking jump shots! It’s a bit hard at first because of the timing. But once you get to perfect the skill, it gets quite addicting to shot photos like that.
I enjoy taking pictures of my sweetie’s sisters and cousins. They’re happy and fun kids! Plus, they never tire even if I make them jump over and over until I get the perfect shot! Sometimes I’m even the first one to get tired of shooting! Hahaha!

Oh, to be young and free!

I mostly photograph sunsets and nice views, but when I’m lucky enough, I take advantage of taking candid shots.
