Rhum cake

September 06th, 2008 | Category: Food, Great Finds

I’m craving for a piece of rhum cake!  It’s actually one of my favorites!  It’s just a plain no-nonsense cake. Not much frills.  This is really one of my comfort foods.  One of my greatest finds is the rhum cake from Uno.  It’s cheap yet super yummy.  I love their cheesecake too!  Maybe this weekend I can pass by the place and get my rhum cake fix.

I just can’t get over this girl’s voice!  It’s another weepy morning for me after watching her videos.  This little angel has got the sweetest voice!  If you loved her short rendition of somewhere over the rainbow, wait till you hear her sing the whole song!!! Her voice is soooo amazing!

Mango Farm

July 27th, 2008 | Category: Great Finds, Nature

The Mango Farm is actually situated inside a village. From outside, you wouldn’t really expect to find such a magnificent mango farm inside. The place was just really refreshing. It’s like being in the province. I can imagine setting up a duyan and having siesta under those trees. I could just imagine how it woud look like at night specially with all the lighting effects! How romantic! It was definitely a nice place to hold a wedding. I just really hope it doesn’t rain during the event to fully maximize the ambiance of the venue. Tents would just be a little bit of a spoiler.

takoyaki

July 18th, 2008 | Category: Great Finds

I love Takoyaki! Have you tasted this? Since I was still in high school I have been buying this already. Although of course it was still much cheaper then. I love watching how they make it. It is a bit tedious actually. They make it one by one. First, they put the batter, then the filling. They mix it up and rotate it into a ball so it would be cooked evenly from all sides. It really takes a lot of time, but the wait is worth it. I simply love it!

Cookie Fairy

July 15th, 2008 | Category: Great Finds

I love attending wedding expos since it’s a great time to meet wedding suppliers and get the chance to know what they’re offering. I was actually pleased with the participants who were part of the expo at the Megatrade Hall. Most are familiar faces already, but I was pleased to see some new suppliers.

One of these that caught my attention was Cookie Fairy who sells cookies and other treats as souvenirs. Her goodies looked nice. Besides being edible, they can also serve as table centerpieces.

San Fo Treats

July 12th, 2008 | Category: Great Finds

I was actually surprised to see San Fo Treats at the Wedding Expo, since I only know them to just have booths at the mall and sell those yummy apples. But looking further into their exhibit, it totally made sense to me. Having their goodies at your reception would is actually a great idea, a unique one at that as well. They actually have a lot of options that you can choose from. But what I really love was the caramel and strawberry fondue! Yum! Yum! It would be a unique deviation from your usual chocolate or white chocolate fondue which I’m sure your guests would love.
