shopaholic series
I have always wanted to read the books of Sophie Kinsella. The shopaholic series seem like the books I can very much relate to. I’m starting to feel a bit like a shopaholic myself and is trying to restrain myself from buying unneccessary stuff.
Anyway, good thing I was able to download some free ebooks and finally got the chance to read her books! I’m just on my second one. I was very drawn to her style of writing. It’s just like hearing her inside my head talk. And quite frankly, I often times can relate to what she’s saying.
Oh well. I hope I don’t become as shopaholic as she is! hehehe!
more books
As I was cleaning my room last week, I actually unearthed a couple of books that I bought that I haven’t even read yet. I think I have like over 10 books waiting to be read. Reading more books this year is actually part of my to-do list for this year. Probably a minimum of 1 book per month would do. Unfortunately, I have a lot of backlogs already. Well, I actually want to buy more books! There’s just a lot of great books out there that I would love to get hold of. I was recently looking at a list of books authored by Dennis C. Carey. A friend actually recommends the author. I checked out his works and most are about management. Well, he’s equipped to write about these stuff considering all his experiences. I’m personally interested with his book: How to Run a Company: Lessons from Top Leaders of the CEO Academy. I think it would be an interesting read. Anyway, I hope I get to get down and read my books on my bookshelf before they get covered with dust. I also hope I can find more bargain books just like when I bought a hardbound book of The Choice by Nicholas Sparks only at 100!

I had to pass by national bookstore to buy additional materials for the mini guestbooks I’m making for my cousins debut. I was looking over at certain materials that I probably need but have overlooked.
Suddenly, as I turned my head to a pile of books on sale, I saw it! A hard bound book of the choice by Nicholas Sparks only at 99 pesos! Isn’t that a great deal? I snatched it immediately before someone else does!
I’m actually trying to hold back on my spending but I can’t seem to say no to this great deal. It even inspired me to go through the pile of books to look for more great finds. And lo and behold, just a few more minutes of looking I saw a hard bound book of A Thousand Splendid Suns at 99 pesos as well!
I actually saw a couple of hard bound Daniel Steel books. There’s just too many books to handle! Darn it!

New books
My mom went to the US for a high school reunion in LA and then visited my uncle and his family in Arizona. Anyways, I wanted to take advantage of her trip and decided to order the photography books that I have been looking for. It took me awhile to decide whether to order or not. I finally succumbed and ordered the 4 books. It’s much cheaper in Amazon and there’s no shipping fee. I just directed the shipment to my uncle’s place and my mom just brought home the goodies.
