packing up
My dad have started shipping boxes from the United Arab Emirates. He’s coming home by the end of the month for Christmas vacation. He will be coming back for work by the 3rd week of January and then go back here again, this time for good, by the end of March. Since he will be coming home for good already, he has already started packing up and sending his stuff home.
No commentsmore quality time please
I’m craving for more quality time with my sweetie. His schedule is just horrible especially lately when he’s in the middle of a transition. I hope it all works out great for him. I hope he gets some time off pretty soon. Staying at some Outer Banks rentals would probably be great, but even just staying at some beach close by for the weekend would be fine. I know he’s stressed out too. He certainly needs a break.
No commentsriding cars
I think I have a phobia of driving vehicles. The only one I’m comfortable driving would probably be a bump car! I know it’s pathetic, but thoughts of meeting a vehicular accident just give me the creeps. Even if I’ll have a car insurance, the thought of something bad happening to me and/or my passengers seem to trouble my mind. I haven’t really tried driving a car. I’m just too scared to try. I hope I overcome my fear pretty soon.
No commentsFAB dinner with friends
Me and some college friends have been trying to set a date for a get together for the longest time. It seems that everybody has been busy that it’s just close to impossible setting a date. Well, fortunately, we were able to agree on Oct 30. Finally!
Initial plan is to have dinner at Sbarro’s in Megamall then just go some place else for coffee or some drinks. Everybody seems to agree, except for one who’s still busy with work and would be a bit late and would just catch up with us.
Plans changed a bit when a friend IM’d me and offered me a gift certificate for FAB restaurant at the Holiday Inn worth 4500. Well, first reaction was a “NO”. Php4500 is a big amount to shell out. It was a hotel restaurant and we all know the prices at those kinds of places. But then he was persistent since it turns out that the gift certificate will be expiring that day already and was selling it at 80% off!!! It was a great steal! Imagine, paying only Php900 for a gift certificate worth Php4500?!?!
I then texted my friends if they’re willing to change plans. Well, I guess they had the same apprehensions I had thinking that the place might be pricey and we don’t know how far we can stretch out 4500 at FAB restaurant, a hotel restaurant at Holiday Inn Ortigas. Anyways, I was willing to pay the Php900 to get the GC. It would just be my early birthday treat for them, then they can just divide among themselves the remaining balance in case we go over the amount. Everybody agreed and we’re all set.

FAB Restaurant is at the 4th level of Holiday Inn Ortigas. It’s just beside Robinson’s Galleria. Well, it’s a pretty nice place, where you have an overview of the busy streets of Ortigas. The restaurant was empty (probably because it’s a weekday). Well, atleast we have the attention of the waiters all to ourselves. Hehe!
Since we have the budget, we ordered to our hearts’ content, but of course noting in mind how much we’ve already used up. Sometimes we’d ask for the running bill just to make sure we don’t go way over budget. We started ordering Fish and Chips Delight Platter (Php760), Family Chicken Platter (Php760), Asian Sauteed Vegetables (Php150), and Salsiccia Pizza (Php350). We were all stuffed already but we still had over 2k to use up!

We decided to order their Grand Dessert Platter (Php779), a slice of Chocolate Cake (Php340), 2 brewed coffee (Php160 each), and 2 flavored tea (150 each). I know they’re way too expensive but we didn’t mind, we had a budget to use up! Hehe!
We were full to the brim and we still had budget to use up. They all didn’t want anything anymore and just suggested to order for take out. I ordered another Grand Dessert Platter (Php779) and a slice of Blueberry Cheesecake (Php280) for take out. The total bill was 4501.71 including VAT and service charge. We only had to pay 2 pesos more, but of course we left them a tip.

All in all, it was a fun night, with all the catching up and reminiscing. And of course the thought of paying only Php900 for all that we ate was priceless. But if you ask me if I’m going back to eat there at regular price? umm…probably not! Hehe! I can’t imagine paying for that amount! A slice of cake for 340??? Unbelievable!
No commentsBirthday season
My birthday is coming up pretty soon! I can’t say I’m entirely excited. I have been busy lately and will still be busy in a couple of weeks. It looks like there’s no birthday party for me this year. I’m not too excited planning for one. Probably because I’m a bit tired already and there are still a couple of stuff that I need to finish that I would rather use my free time to rest rather than to party.
Anyway, it’s birthday season. I know a lot of people celebrating their birthdays. I love my fellow scorpions! Hehe! Most of my closest friends are scorpions! Happy birthday, guys!
for keeps
We’re celebrating our 45th monthsary today! Wooohoo! We’ve gone a long way already. And as days go by, I just become surer and surer that he is the one already. We actually had another episode recently, but bottom line is that we love each other so much that making things work is still the best option. Life is so much happier when we’re together. I hope this relationship is for keeps.
No commentsswamped
I’m swamped with all the stuff that I have to study in order to prepare for the trainings that I have to conduct in the coming days. Sometimes I think of backing out since I don’t want to expose myself to stress, but then again, I see this as a challenge. I know I can do it. I just have to get it over with.
No commentsmissing old friends
It’s fun to catch up with old friends. Our high school reunion made me think about my grade school friends. I wonder how they are and where they are now. When I transferred school going to high school, most of my friends stayed at Miriam. I did get to keep in touch with them for awhile, but at some point, everybody just got busy. Well, with the onset of Friendster I did get to find some old friends but we have barely met personally again. It would probably be fun attending a grade school batch reunion.
No commentsmore chocolates
I’m making chocolates again for a client whose son is going to be baptized this coming Sunday. Since they’re from Laguna, I’ll be delivering my chocolates on Saturday already. Our meeting place would be in Fiesta Mall. Yep, in Alabang! I hope I don’t get lost. It’s been quite awhile since I went to Alabang. Maybe I can hang around for a bit after dropping off my goodies. I’ve come a long way so why hurry home? I’m thinking of getting a spa treatment there but the ride home might negate the effects. Oh well. Let’s just see. Maybe there’s a bazaar that I can visit there.
I still have a couple of batches to make. I hope i get to finish them on time. I’m still waiting for the approval of the tags before I print them out. Oh well. I’ll take a picture of my finished product and post them soon.
Anyway, I was looking at my chocolate molds…amazingly, I never new I had so much already! I think I have around almost 50 already!!! I just passed by Gourdo’s awhile, and I saw a set of 10 sheets of molds for only around 500. I’m still contemplating if I would buy it, but after seeing my collection of chocolate molds, I feel that the new set would compliment my collegtion very well. hehehe! I say, keep em comin!
No commentsTrying not to be too affected
Many have been affected once again by the recent PR updates, and that includes me. Well, I try not to be too emotionally affected by it and just look at it as a game that needs to be played strategically.
I have come to accept that blogs who are paid for blogging (especially those into ppp and other paid to blog avenues) have lesser probability of maintaining a high PR. The trick is to strike the iron while it’s hot. Optimize your blog while it has PR but at the same time start making new blogs. Anyway, it’s just great that I was able to invest in a domain hosting which can host unlimited domains.
