Of course all of us have our dream homes in mind. Some are more capable of getting them sooner than others. Well, I know that maybe 15-20 years we will. But when me and my sweetie gets married, I don’t mind renting out for the mean time or staying in a small condo unit. It’s ok for a starting family. But thinking long term, I still prefer living in a real house which we own. It’s fun looking at model houses. Schumacher Homes Louisiana really looks great. We hope we would be able to save enough money to build our own dream house. Of course, it’s not just all about aesthetics, we want a sturdy one which can survive for decades and still be on tip top shape. I guess this is where the builders’ role becomes important. It would probably be nice to have Schumacher Homes build your house.

My sweetie and I have been discussing about potential places where we can live. It would be fun to have your own home. Well, it’s a question of what type. A condominium unit, with all the amenities that go with it seems cool, but somehow my heart goes to having a real home…a house and lot that I can call my own. Well, I think we should talk to some other agents to discuss our options.

It would be fun building your own home and seeing it get completed. Hopefully we’ll get to afford to have our own pretty soon.

We’re starting to canvass so already so we know our options. We all know that there’s a global financial crisis going on. Money matters so much so one must be really smart on spending. I hope we get to find a house or a condo unit which would fit our budget. Of course we always say to each other that what matters most is that we’re together, no matter where we would be staying. But of course it helps if we stay in a pretty nice place. Hehe!

My sweetie and I met up an agent from DMCI and inquired about their new midrise condominium projects.  They were even kind enough to tour us and do ocular inspection on the actual sites.  They even showed us some model rooms.  They’re really pretty nice!  I would love to have one of those, but of course the financing would be a bit of a big problem.  We computed for our monthly dues and it seems like we would be having a hard time paying them off. Oh well.  Let’s just see. We’re still considering other options.

Since I am at a phase of redecorating my room, I was thinking of replacing my bed cushion. The whole bed may cost a bit expensive so I was thinking of at least replacing my 23 year old bed cushion. It’s amazing that it has lasted this long. Actually, I can still use it. Maybe I’ll just have another layer so it would be more comfortable for my back.

The other day, I was window shopping for a comforter set. I found one at 50% off which was really great since it came with 2 pillow case, a bedsheet, and the comforter. Well, I haven’t bought it yet since I have to check the size of my bed since it’s not of standard size. Hopefully I can buy it this week already, crossing my fingers that it’s still at 50% off. I hope my sweetie can accompany my so he can help me choose the design.

I woke up this morning because of a loud knock at our gate.  I can barely open my eyes fully.  I sneaked a peek at the clock and saw that it was only barely 7:30 am.

The delivery is here!

Boy were they early.  I didn’t even have time to wash my face.  It was a quick adrenaline rush.  I’d say it’s a nice way to wake up.  I’m glad they carried my new stuff all the way to my room (which was at the end of the house) and even took care of taking off the packaging and cleaning up after. Yep, they took away with them all the trash.  It would’ve been a totally great service, but as I checked the chair that they delivered, i found out that the legs were uneven.  I actually anticipated this happening.  I think it was the same chair that was displayed at the store.  But I already pointed out that they should double check what they would be delivering. Oh well. I had to return it.  Who wants a chair with uneven legs?

Anyway, I’m so excited to rearrange my stuff. I can sense that my two new bookshelves would be instantly full once I get to organize my stuff.  I’m also excited to use my new table!  It’s great that it has drawers underneath it which even has locks.

I’m glad they delivered early today. I’ll be heading out to the mall later to buy some more stuff.  I’ll probably get a new stand fan, a full length mirror, organizational boxes, 2 lamps, those plastic shoe containers, trash can and a laundry basket.  Oh, new pillows too! Darn, I’m pretty sure I’m over my budget already.  Redecorating my room is getting a bit addicting. The more I go to those home decorating stores, the more I want to buy more stuff!

Today is the day!  Finally, I was able to clean up my room! I’m just really a terrible pack rat and it’s about time to let things go.  It’s about time to throw away (or give away) things that I don’t really need anymore. It was a tiring yet fulfilling day. It was fun going through my things.  It’s nice finding things I’ve been searching for quite some time. It was also nice getting to read old letters and seeing old pictures from my stack.

I’m looking forward to recreating my room.  I have actually ordered 2 new book shelves, a wooden desk, and a chair yesterday to go with the new look of my room.  I’m excited for the delivery to arrive tomorrow.  I still have a couple of stuff to buy to complete the look.  Unfortunately, it looks like I will be going over my budget already.  Well, it’s ok, I’m just looking at it as an investment since we can use these stuff when my sweetie and I have a place of our own already.

Our garden looks pretty nice already but I still have a lot of plans on improving it. Having wooden swing sets would certainly spice up our garden. It would be nice to hang out by the swing. I love swings even when I was still little. You can easily pass time when you’re on a swing. It’s like you just can’t stop swinging. The higher the better. Well, maybe we’ll get those bigger swings where 2-3 can seat on them. I wonder if that would be nice to put on our backyard.

I saw some moving trucks a few days ago. It looks like we have new neighbors. There’s a new townhouse beside out house which was just newly built. For so many years, that lot has been vacant and served as our playground when we were still young. But now, houses are built on it already and people are living in it already. Time to welcome the new neighbors!
