garden session

October 10th, 2008 | Category: Garden

It’s really therapeutic whenever I have my garden session. It’s extra fulfilling when you see your plants having new flower blooms. Just walking around the perimeter of the house and seeing those plants and flowers is really refreshing. It somehow takes away one’s stress. Anyway, I hope I get to maintain those plants and be able to push through with my other gardening plans.

I love gardening. It can get a bit filthy, with soil getting stuck underneath your finger nails, but then again, the end result is all worth it. I love looking at our garden, with all the plants around. My mom is back into taking care of orchids again. And I have been a bit obsessed with other flowering plants like hydrangeas and mums. I have another flowering plant which I don’t know the name of yet, but it has been continuously blooming with pink flowers, and to think I just got that plant for free when I bought 13 pots of mums at Manila Seedling.

I previously bought 3 sacks of soil to put in our flower boxes around the house as well as a sack of mixed soil with fertilizer. I have already transplanted the mums and hydrangeas. I still want to do a lot of stuff for our garden, like plant herbs again as well as try planting some backyard veggies. I also want to add more flowering plants around the house.

I’ve been inspired to plant some nice flowering plants in our garden. The flowery garden really makes one a bit refreshed just by looking at them. I’ve recently planted some mums and hydrangeas that I got from Manila Seedlings. I would love to buy some more! I’m thinking of getting some mini-bamboo trees to add some more greens in our garden. We already have some basils but I would love to have a wider range of herbs in our garden. I would love to have some wheat grass and lemon grass. I just really hope I can maintain taking care of my plants. It’s a bit tricky now that it has been raining so hard lately. I had to put most of them in the shade.
