nice start

September 30th, 2008 | Category: Personal

It was a nice way to start the week. My sweetie was sweet enough to drop buy and brought me breakfast yesterday. I had a bit of hormonal imbalance and was a bit emotional the previous night. I’m probably getting my period pretty soon. I’m just happy that my sweetie was thoughtful enough and deduced that I probably just need an extra dose of hugs and kisses. We haven’t been able to spend much time together during the weekend since he’s busy studying for his exam early next month. I really hope he aces his exam. I know he’ll do great.

Serbis

September 30th, 2008 | Category: Movies

I was curious about this movie entitled service which made it to the Cannes. It features Gina Pareno, Jaclyn Jose, Julio Diaz, Coco Martin, Kristofer King, Dan Alvaro, Mercedes Cabral, and Roxanne Jordan. Since it was showing at the UP FILM Institute, I decided to check it out yesterday. It’s about an extended family who lives inside a movie house which they operate. It’s the type of movie house wherein you can get an extra “serbis”. It showed a lot of realities and ironies of life. I did have mixed feeling about the movie since I’m not really a fan of scenes where they follow around the people walking (it just really makes me nauseous) and there are a lot of parts wherein you can barely here the conversations due to the noisy surroundings.

green thumb

September 30th, 2008 | Category: Garden

I’ve been inspired to plant some nice flowering plants in our garden. The flowery garden really makes one a bit refreshed just by looking at them. I’ve recently planted some mums and hydrangeas that I got from Manila Seedlings. I would love to buy some more! I’m thinking of getting some mini-bamboo trees to add some more greens in our garden. We already have some basils but I would love to have a wider range of herbs in our garden. I would love to have some wheat grass and lemon grass. I just really hope I can maintain taking care of my plants. It’s a bit tricky now that it has been raining so hard lately. I had to put most of them in the shade.

efficient information system

September 30th, 2008 | Category: Information System

I wonder if the project of my previous professors is already finished. I used to work for them and was dealing about court cases and other judiciary stuff that can be improved. I was handling the data gathering stuff which was really quite difficult and had me wishing that we have an efficient information system for Public Court Records so that it’s easier to access files.

connectivity

September 30th, 2008 | Category: Technology

I have been contemplating of either getting the smart bro or globe visibility so that I would be able to have internet connection whenever I’m out of the house. Unfortunately, I’ve been reading a lot of bad reviews about both brands. I just hope they would be able to improve their services. Having mobile connectivity can be really very useful. Do you have personal reviews regarding any of the two service providers? Or do you have other suppliers that you can recommend?

locating friends

September 30th, 2008 | Category: Information System

Do you have friends or relatives you want to get in touch with but just couldn’t since you don’t know where to reach them? I know there’s already Friendster, my space, facebook and all those social networks which can be used to find people you know. But what if they’re not affiliated to any of those? Well, it’s best to make use of a People Locator system where you can easily locate the people you want to contact again.

syrup

September 30th, 2008 | Category: Food

I love hanging out at starbucks since it’s usually where I get my creative juices from flowing which enables me to write better. Anyway, I’ve gotten a bit tired from my usual order so I try to tweak them up a bit by adding some syrup. I just love hazelnut syrup and I’m glad that starbucks is already selling them by the bottle so one can use it at home. Too bad I haven’t seen an almond flavor in a bottle since I love putting them in my tea. I have already bought the hazelnut flavor and might buy the vanilla flavor pretty soon as well.

phone registry

September 30th, 2008 | Category: Information System

Don’t you get irritated when you get calls from people you don’t know who either just hangs up on you or just don’t say anything at all until you lose patience and you just put down the phone. There should be something done so that prank callers would think twice before they do their pranks on the phone. A National Phone Registry seems like a great idea where you can easily check any number.
