life insurance

December 29th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

My sweetie and I are getting married soon. We have talked about how we would be dealing with our finances. Right now, bulk would go to payment for the condo unit that we’re buying. Hopefully when we don’t have that much bills to think about, we can get life insurance. We acknowledge that it pays to be early. Maybe I can start looking for life insurance quotes online so I can get to know our options.

baby stuff

December 28th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

I’m so excited to have a baby already! I admit I’m starting to get a bit addicted to day dreaming how it would be like when I get to have my own baby already. I know it would be quite a challenge raising a kid but I know that my sweetie and I can do it. It would be fun to shop for baby’s clothes, baby strollers, baby toys, baby dresses, etc.

semi vacation

December 28th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

It’s going to be a brand new year in a couple of days. I’m still on semi-vacation. I can’t totally enjoy the holidays since I’m supposedly should be working at home. I still got tons to do. I still have so much wedding related tasks that should be done. I know it’s just a matter of prioritizing which ones to do first. Unfortunately, this would mean missing some parties to attend to these tasks.

moving

December 27th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

Are you moving companies? It seems that a lot of people are moving, probably to get a higher paid job to sustain a more comfortable lifestyle. It is fortunate if you would be given an opportunity to work abroad since that’s where one may get a relatively higher compensation. It may just be a bit of a hassle to move ince you would have to physically move all your stuff to a far away place. Fortunately, it’s easier now to find some cheap local movers to help you out. It is much easier this way at least you have somebody to help you out. It is quite a challenge to go out of your comfort zone and work in a foreign land, but it would definitely be very fulfilling. I’m sure you would get to adjust sooner or later. And once you get your big pay check, everything would be worth all the trouble. I really admire friends who embraced the challenge of working in a foreign land since it’s really not easy. Number one challenge would be feeling home sick. I’m sure you miss all your family and friends. You would be out of your comfort zone already and would have to try hard to adjust to the new place and meet new friends and create new relationships. So in case you are thinking of trying to move to another company, think about it exhaustively. Imagine how your life would be. Is it worth all the changes and the hassle of moving? Are you ready to battle it out in a new place? Are you ready to move all your things? You have to ask yourself all these questions and more before you decide if you’re ready to move. Hopefully if you decide to do so, you wouldn’t have any hard time dealing with your decision, but instead enjoy the new challenge that awaits you.

sleepy

December 27th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

We just pulled off an all nighter with my sweetie and his college friends. It was so fun. We had good food, games, as well as a bridal/stag party. It was nice spending quality time with my sweetie’s college friends. The stories and reminiscing were endless! It was a tiring night but it was all worth it. I think the next time that we would see them would be on our wedding day already. I just got home and I’m so sleepy. I just have to finish some posts then I’m off to snooze already.

Pacquiao

December 27th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

I wonder if the fight would push through. I really hope it would since it would be the fight of the century! I’m sure that it would be hard to get some Pacquiao/Mayweather tickets since everyone would want to get their hands on those tickets. I know that my sweetie would love to watch this fight. Of course we both want Manny Pacquiao to win to finally silence Mayweather who’s just really full of talk. I really wish we could watch it live. Fortunately for my dad, he will be at Las Vegas around that time. Hopefully he gets tickets to the big event.

Wedding planning

December 26th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

In less than a month I will be getting married already. It’s not easy planning for a wedding since there are a lot of stuff that you have to think of. I tried to go into the wedding planning business and I really had fun but it was so tiring as well. You have to deal with a lot of suppliers. You first have to decide which church and reception venue to choose. Then decide which caterer. And then of course you have to scout for a good photographer and videographer. And then you have to get a hair and make up stylist. Sometimes you need to have a trial make up before deciding. It can get really costly but I think it would all be worth it. Then there’s the rings that you have to buy, and all the other miscellaneous stuff like the cord, veil, pillows for the bearers, candles, etc. Then you have to think about the design of your wedding gown as well as the gowns of your entourage. Of course your entourage should be carefully picked. Then you have the wedding cake and souvenirs. Then you have to think about the program to make sure that you guests would not be bored and would enjoy your reception. There are really a lot of details that you have to think about. It really helps to have a wedding planner who would help you out in dealing with these kinds of things. They would ensure that every detail is all planned out in order to have a hassle free and fun filled wedding. It would be quite a challenge dealing with all these stuff if you are alone. I’m thankful that I’m a bit experienced already in planning for weddings so we didn’t really have a hard time choosing our suppliers. I’m very fortunate that my sweetie is also very hands on.

more xmas party

December 26th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

We would be holding my sweetie’s college friends christmas party at their house in a little while.  I know that it would be a little hassle for my sweetie, but I promise to help him out.  I know it would be fun just like it has always been.  They rarely meet up so it’s always a riot whenever they do.  It would be a night of good food and good company again!

condo stuff

December 26th, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized

I’m glad that we have finally decided where we would live after we get married. We would be staying at my folk’s house for the mean time until the condo unit that we bought would be turned over to us. It would approximately take a year. By that time we should have paid atl east 30% of the total contract price. We already have issued post dated checks. Hopefully we would earn all the money that we need to pay off our condo unit.

I just really love the location of our condo unit. It was the major selling point. It is a condominium with 19 floors. Of course it has a Stair Lift for easy access to our unit and to the floor with amenities that we can make use of. I just hope that it is quality made since I sometimes get scared with the possibility of being trapped inside an elevator. The elevator is a really cool invention which makes life so easier. It makes it so convenient to go from one floor to another in multi story buildings. Imagine going up the stairs just to go to the 19th floor. That would really be such a strenuous exercise! I know I need one but I wouldn’t want to deal with the stairs every time I would go up to our unit, or accessing other parts of the condominium.

Anyway, I’m really excited with the condo unit. It would be our first home that we can really call ours. I’m glad that they have a pool area, gym, and function room that we can use. I hope that a coffee shop would lease a space downstairs. The first few floors would be for business use. It would be nice if there would be a pediatrics clinic, I heard a couple who are both doctors have also bought a unit there and is planning to put up a clinic as well. That would really be convenient when we get to have kids already.
